TENDING IN AUTUMN

a photo essay by Anne Jespersen

In the fall after the grass has stopped growing and the pasture is looking thin we take the sheep out to unfenced areas, such as the orchard or the pond and woods to get a little extra grass before the snow covers it up. Here are a few pictures of Kip "tending" the sheep at the pond. It is very peaceful, watching the sheep eat.
