We raise Kathadin X Dorper sheep at Flying A' . These sheep are excellent working sheep as well as superior market animals. Dairy cattle are not for sale, but are worked on the farm.

Home of:
• WTCH SWEETGRASS FLYING A' BLACKJACK

Jack is by Sherry Baker's WTCH 45 Ranch Wind Wolf PATDcs RTDcs DNAVP and out of Francesca Canfield's WTCH Twin Oaks Catnip PATDs. In 1999 Wolf was the ASCA Stockdog Finals Cattle Champion and Nip was Duck Champion. He was High in Trial cattle at the Silver Bullet Pre-trial at the 2004 ASCA Nationals and winner of the 2002 Silver Bullet Most Promising Started Australian Shepherd.

Jack has some very promising pups on the ground from the first litter he sired. Watch for them this year at the working trials. Jack is ASCA registered only, and works daily on the farm bringing in the sheep, which involves sorting, penning and chute work. He works equally well on cattle, identifying the lead cow and gaining their respect immediately. He also works ducks.

Mission Statement

To produce structurally correct, moderate, working dogs with solid temperaments. Biddability is one of my main objectives in producing working dogs at Flying A' Australian Shepherds. I also strive to produce a working dog that is a pleasure to live with both inside and outside the home.

Philosophy

I believe in preserving the working nature of the Australian Shepherd. I breed my dogs for sound, calm temperaments. I have researched bloodlines of the Australian Shepherd and feel that the Twin Oaks line offers the best in working ability, sound structure and temperament, hence my decision to purchase Sweetgrass Flying A' Blackjack from Francesca Canfield of Sweetgrass.
