Birch Hollow Kennel was established in 1988. Our dogs help us manage a small flock of sheep in addition to trialing. My goal as a breeder is to preserve the working abilities of Aussies by choosing mates that will complement individual dogs' strengths and minimize weaknesses.

Some traits I consider important in a working Aussie are: genetic health, balance on stock, ability to rate and group stock, willingness to grip cattle, quiet serious attitude, biddability, and sound working structure. I breed infrequently and give my puppies a lot of individual attention and socialization to enable a good early start as useful partners and good companions. I begin simple obedience, leash walking, and car riding very early.
