When I started competing with Aussies in 1974, my wife and I used Harvest Ranch as our kennel name. After we split in 1982, I took Apache Trails as my name, signifying that the dogs I breed "trail" off Apache, my foundation sire, who was a fantastic herding dog. My breeding program prioritizes herding ability and emphasizes versatility. Intelligence and soundness of body are paramount; breeding TO the standard, NOT beyond it. All dogs are OFA'd and eyes checked. The future should hold a few more outstanding "Apache" dogs.
