Sliding S was recently awarded the Stockdog Kennel of Excellence award from ASCA. Our focus is to breed working Australian Shepherds that have a good temperament, are loyal, biddable and are stock savvy. All of our dog’s work on the farm and some also compete in ASCA and MSSA stockdog trials in the Pacific Northwest and Western United States. We have bred 3 Stockdog Champions and the 2016 Supreme Champion “Oakley”. HOF WTCH Sweetgrass Painted Blue Skye PATDs RTDs AFTDs “Skye” is our foundation bitch here at Sliding S. Skye competed in 5 Finals while also producing the next generations for Sliding S. The 3 dogs that earned their SDCH (Stockdog Champion) are Skye pups. Oakley, Riddick and Sterling. Oakley also won the title of Supreme Champion at the 2016 Finals in Albany, Oregon. This award has only been won 4 times in ASCA history.
At Sliding S Aussies, we want our dogs to be easy to live with, with a strong work ethic. We want our dogs to have a good sense of group, rate and can think on their own. Our dogs are bred to work, and we prefer to sell to working homes, but our dogs are great family dogs and their offspring have done well in Agility, Tracking, Dock Jumping, Rally, Obedience as well as other competitions. We have 2 males “Colt” and “Nash” who have both produced some talented dogs.
